Print from James Hakewill's 'A Picturesque Tour in the Island of Jamaica.' It depicts the Trinity Estate in the foreground with the Tryall and Brimmer Hall estates to the left and right. Water was one of the most valued resources and planters made considerable efforts to ensure that it was in constant supply. The aquaduct on the Trinity Estate dominates this picture. It was over a mile long and was made up of more than 100 arches.
