This is a plan showing intended improvements to the New London Bridge. The street level was to be raised from the bridge to Cornhill and Gracechurch Street. The road leading from the bridge to Thames Street and Fish Street Hill would also be on an incline. These renovations marked in yellow on the plan. Two views at the base of the map show, respectively, the terminus of the new bridge, and the London Arcade, intended to stretch from Bartholomew Lane to London Wall.
