This plan of the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Hall was drawn as part of a plan to renovate the buildings. At the centre of the plan is the "Painted Room", a hall featuring hundreds of medieval war-paintings. This room was destroyed by a fire in the mid-19th century, and the few surviving paintings taken to the British Museum.
