[Plan of St James's Palace with the intended addition in the reign of King William III]
Architect: Wren, Sir Christopher
Medium: Pen and ink on paper
Sir Christopher Wren's proposed new building lies on the edge of part of the Royal Garden. The room called ''Pastry'', just off the kitchen, gives an indication of the elaborate meals prepared for the royal residents. This is a 19th century copy of the original 1694 plan.
