This is a manuscript plan of the Sun Yard, a property on the west side of Bishopsgate Street. It was owned by the livery company, the Mercers. The plan must have been folded soon after it was drawn because the ink of the title ''Sun Yard'' has transferred onto the adjoining leaf. Two manuscript additions have been attached to the plan with red sealing wax. The draughting in pencil can be seen underneath the ink.
