[Plan of Belgrave Square and the property adjoining]
Draughtsman: Chawner, Thomas
Medium: Pen and ink on paper
This drawn plan also shows adjoining properties in Knightsbridge. Earl Grosvenor was granted permission by Parliament to develop the 10-acre site in 1826, and commissioned the young architect George Basevi, a pupil of Sir John Soane, to design the square.
