[Drawn plan of Sir John Soane's House in Lincolns Inn Field]
Medium: Pen and ink on paper
John Soane's house is now one of the most unusual museums in London. An avid collector, Soane designed this house a living space and as a setting for his antiquities and works of art. After his death he left his house as a museum to which "amateurs and students" should have access.
The ground floor is shown on this plan. The sarcophagus indicated is one of the prime exhibits.
