Map scale description: Scale not given

This is a drawn plan of the Victualling Office, later the Royal Mint, at Tower Hill. Its title features at top left, with orientation points marked on margins, and a scale bar at bottom centre. All rooms are numbered for reference, with key in table at bottom left. Founded in AD825, the Victualling Office was transferred to a site between the inner and outer walls of the Tower in 1300 and to a new building designed by James Johnson on Little Tower Hill at the end of the 18th century.
