The photograph shows "the inner view of the ambulatory. On the right, is the door of the turret staircase leading to the gallery. On the left, is the entrance to the Master's garden...All this portion of the buildings may be attributed to master Robert Sherborne, at the beginning of the sixteenth century. He has left his initials and motto...around the quaint pillar which supports the little oriel which forms a prominent feature in the view."
