The Langdale Pikes dominate this view of the Blea Tarn which lies between the
Greater and Little Langdale valleys. British poets William Wordsworth (1770-1850), Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772-1834) and Robert Southey (1774-1843) made the Lake District their home at the beginning of the 19th century. The beauty of the natural world and the local landscape greatly influenced their work.
