"This view of the town, with the mountain in the background, is that seen from any of the northern approaches. The neighbourhood abounds in picturesque scenery, and is much indebted for its beauty to the lovely valley of the Suir, in which it is situated, and from which it derives its name, 'Cluian meala,' or 'plain of honey.'"

Text by William Hemphill.
