Dyke On Barton Broad 45

“Dyke on Barton Broad. – Of this little can be said, as it is self-explanatory. Ducks are plentiful in this district. Young ones may be had at from 4/- to 5/- per pair. Geese at from 4/- to 6/- each. The Norfolk style of dressing fowls of all kinds makes them look as if they could be eaten without cooking. Not a suspicion of a stump or a feather can be seen upon one when they are ready for market.”
Letterpress description by Ernest R. Suffling accompanying Plate XC from ‘Sun Pictures of the Norfolk Broads’.
