A screen of carved oak with brass gates separates us from the organ and choir at Ely cathedral in Cambridgeshire. In the book 'The Fen and Marshland Churches' the Precentor of Ely, W E Dickson, describes this view as, "a modern work of great merit...it is difficult to conceive any architectural scene more imposing or complete."
