Fishing On Ormsby Broad

“Fishing on Ormsby Broad. – This delightful lily-covered cove is at the extreme Northern corner of the Broad, and being at the opposite end to which one hires a boat for fishing (‘The Sportsman’s Arms’) is usually very quiet. Large fish are caught here, as they delight to swim among the India-rubber looking stems of the water-lilies, the leaves of which form capital sunshades for them.”
Letterpress description by Ernest R. Suffling accompanying Plate LXXXIII from ‘Sun Pictures of the Norfolk Broads’.
