“Fritton Lake (from the Gardens). – The large walled-in garden of Fritton Hall has justly gained quite a local distinction, as it is one of the most prolific and best kept gardens to be seen in the district. A small charge is made to visitors who wish to stroll in it, but this charge also includes admission to the woods (belonging to the Hall), which skirt the lake and form a rearing place for game of all descriptions.”
Letterpress description by Ernest R. Suffling accompanying Plate XCVI from ‘Sun Pictures of the Norfolk Broads’.
