Interior Of The Church Of St. Cross Looking West
Photographer: Savage, William
Medium: Photographic print
Interior view showing "the imposing altitude and simplicity of the vaulted ceiling...The transitional character of the architecture in the nave, from the later Norman to the more distinctly English style...is very characteristic of the times in which the Church was slowly built...The remnants of ancient stained glass are to be found mainly in the large west window...The modern glass already put up is partly by Wailes, and partly by Alexander Gibbs."
