Exterior of Saint Clement's Church in Outwell, Norfolk.

"The present Church stands on the site of an Early English Church...The tower consists of four stories: the three lower stages are Early English; and evidently when the present edifice was completed, another story was added to the tower to bring it into better proportion with the new building...The nave is 57 feet 6 inches long, whilst the chancel is 38 feet in length and 21 feet broad...The east window is 25 feet high."

Text by the Rector of Outwell Henry Wright from the book 'The Fen and Marshland Churches'.
