Henry Peach Robinson's text directs our attention towards the Leamington Priors and Warwickshire Bank to the left of his photograph of The Parade, opposite the Regent Hotel. He proudly informs us that this is one of two banks in the town which goes some way towards proving "the extensive character of its concerns and dealings in the way of commerce and finance, of the importance to which Leamington has risen, as a place of trade as well as of fashion."
