Exterior of the "grand church of Walpole St. Peter, which in size, regularity, and beauty, stands unrivalled even amongst the Marshland Churches...Walpole St. Peter's presents us with a fine example of the Later or Perpendicular style. The church as we see it now, has succeeded to a building of the Decorated style, of which the tower, the north porch doorway, and some good wood-work introduced into the present fittings of the chancel are all that remain."
Text by the Rector of Walton E E Blencowe from the book 'The Fen and Marshland Churches'.
