"By the side of an unfrequented road, about three and a-half miles north of Clonmel, stands the lonely ruin of Donaghmore Church. The tradition of the neighbourhood maintains that this church was built by the Goban Saer, a celebrated architect, who flourished in the beginning of the seventh century."

The photograph "shows the jambs and chevron mouldings of this ancient and interesting arch."
