This is the ninth of 12 views published in 'Photographs of Norfolk Broads and Rivers' by Victorian photographer Payne Jennings. The letterpress description below accompanies Plate XXXVIII in the second edition of ‘Sun Pictures of the Norfolk Broads', published by Jennings in 1892 and written by Ernest R. Suffling.

“At Wroxham Bridge, - This is the favourite embarking and disembarking place for yachtsmen who make Wroxham their head-quarters, and it is no uncommon sight to see 30 or 40 yachts moored here at one time. As the village boasts of a butcher’s and two general shops, it is a good place to revictual or replenish failing stores when yachting. Population of Wroxham about 400.”
