This leaflet advertises an act appearing at the Royal Aquarium. The Aquarium was a popular visitor attraction during the 19th century. Its name belies its function and although there were some tanks containing exotic fish, it was for the variety performances, plays, exhibitions and restaurants that it was famed. The Aquarium was a magnificent red brick building with a glass roof that was about 600 feet long. There were many different types of shows in the Aquarium from singers and clowns to mathematicians and performing animals but unfortunately we do not know who, or what, Succi was, answers on a postcard please...
