Advert for Bryant's Bath Oliver Biscuits, reverse side
Medium: Print on paper
This is the reverse of the advert.
The Bath Oliver biscuit, featured on this leaflet, was invented by Doctor W. Oliver, an 18th century physician living in Bath who treated many patients who were visiting the Spa waters there. He felt that they needed to eat a plain biscuit to counter the rich food that they would have been indulging in. The Bath Oliver biscuit is very plain and is unsweetened. Today these biscuits are usually eaten with cheese.
