This is an advertisment for Jeye's Disinfectant. The first product sold by Jeye’s was ‘Jeye’s Fluid’ and even today the company still sell disinfectants. Cadbury Sweppes acquired the company in 1972. The medical profession started to use Jeye’s disinfectant because they discovered that if swallowed by a patient by accident, there were no ill effects. Jeye’s used nurses to advertise their products between 1887 and 1890.
