George Whight and his partner Mann, started manufacturing sewing machines in 1859 at their Gipping Works in Ipswich. They produced three or four models, their most famous being the ‘Princess’ which was a delicate and highly decorated machine. Mann died in 1878 and Whight continued trading under his own name for another decade. This leaflet is advertising Whight's store in Holborn in London, he not only sells sewing machines but also clocks, watches, perambulators, mangles, washing machines and musical instruments.
