Advert for 'Bicycling News', periodical reverse

This is the reverse of the advert.
This is an advertisement for a periodical entitled Bicycling News. There was a revolution in transport when the bicycle was invented. The first recognisable and working bicycles appeared in 1868 and were known as Boneshakers. The pedals were attached directly to the front wheel and the wheels had no rubber around them so the ride would have been very bumpy. As technology developed, improvements were made and one of the best ways of keeping track of new designs and ideas was by reading a periodical like ‘Bicycling News’. It was published in York Street Covent Garden and was available all over London.
