This is the reverse side of an advertisement for Bradbury's sewing machines. Established in 1852, Bradbury's was one of the first sewing machine manufacturers in the country. George Bradbury had been working for another manufacturing company but in 1852 went into business with his brother Frederick and a colleague Thomas Sugden in Oldham. Bradbury’s made a wide range of machines both for the industrial and domestic markets.
