Advert for the Royal Agricultural Society
Medium: Print on paper
The Royal Agricultural Society of England was established in 1838, receiving a charter from Queen Victoria in 1840. The society hosts an official Royal Show every year, keeping the public up to date with agricultural and industrial innovations. The only years in which the show has not been held were during the first and second World Wars, and in 2001 because of an epidemic of Foot and Mouth disease in Britain's livestock.
