This is an advertisement for Graves and Bygrave's Manor Works, a publishing company selling periodicals, comics and magazines. This leaflet details the prices of the publications that they sold, and includes the well known Half penny Pictorial. There were great technological developments throughout the second half of the 19th century especially in the printing industry and more printed material was produced than ever before. It has been estimated that there were as many as 125,000 different periodicals in production by the end of the century. These publications could be produced cheaply and quickly, providing affordable reading matter for the middle and working classes.
