Advert For A Restaurant 6789
Medium: Print on paper
Café’s and dinning rooms in the Victorian period offered the working and middle classes cheap and wholesome food. They were not beautifully decorated like the restaurants and hotel dinning rooms but they were busy and lively eateries offering ‘no frills’ food. Food like jacket potatoes, stews, soups and joints were offered along with ale, porter and beer. This particular café is offering spirits and cigars as well as the option of entering billiards rooms.
