Advert For A Meeting Of All Lambeth Ratepayers
Printer: Wayre Steam Printing
Medium: Print on paper
This leaflet is advertising a meeting for all rate paying residents of Lambeth. The meeting, taking place in 1886, was to act as a forum to object to proposals to build a new town hall in Lambeth. The objections must have been successful for a short period because the building of the new town hall was not approved until 1900. This building cost £48,000 and was eventually opened by the Prince and Princess of Wales on 29th April 1908.
