This is the reverse of the advert.

Ready made, patented, brand named or trademarked remedies made up a major part of the chemist's stock right through the 19th Century. There were medicines like Burgess’ pills and ointments that claimed to cure a range of ills from scurvy and boils to cancer and tumours. These ‘cure alls’ were common and in the late 1700s Oliver Goldsmith commented that,
'The English are peculiarly excellent in the art of healing. There is scarcely a disorder against which they are not possessed of an infallible antidote... You will find numbers in every street, who, by levelling a pill at the part affected, promise certain cure".
