Hexham, cloisters f.39
View in ink of part of the cloisters adjoining Hexham Abbey in Northumberland. These had fallen into decay in the 16th century, after the abbey was dissolved by Henry VIII. It was largely demolished, apart from this archway, in the 17th century.
