Hexham, cloisters f.40
This view in ink shows some of the remaining ornamental arches of the cloisters adjoining Hexham Abbey in Northumberland. The cloisters had fallen into decay in the 16th century, after the abbey was dissolved by Henry VIII. They were largely demolished in the 17th century.
