Tynemouth Priory f.78

A north-west outline view in ink of the ruins of Tynemouth priory in Northumberland (now in Tyne and Wear). Founded in 1090 on the site of an ancient Anglian monastery, the huge Benedictine priory church has an ornate and remarkably well preserved eastern section, whose walls are just a shade short of 22 metres tall.
