This manuscript contains several texts relating directly to Abingdon Abbey, for which it must have been made. These include a cartulary, a list of church officials, a customary (recording details of how various actions should be performed, such as the initial of a novice), a list of lands belonging to the abbey, and so on. This is the first page of the cartulary, introduced by an illuminated initial 'M' and a description of the location of the abbey, and going on to copies of charters of King Cadwalla (685-688).
