This series of annals have a very marked emphasis on events relating either to 'national' events (such as coronations and deaths of the kings of England), or to 'local' events concerning Dover and Canterbury. The annals were therefore clearly compiled somewhere in Kent, and the presence in this manuscript of a press-mark of Dover priory leaves no doubt as to precisely where. This page has two columns of roman numerals, representing the years AD 138 to AD 210. There are not many entries; the death of the Apostle Philip in AD 140, for example. In the middle of the lower margin is the press-mark of Dover Priory: ':h:VII:'
