The main texts in the volume are preceded by a very unusual selection of short treatises, including one on the subject of Free Will, illustrated with this diagram, showing connections between various sorts of sin. At the bottom of the diagram, for example, is a small rectangle with the word 'vicium' (meaning fault/blemish/flaw/vice) linked to four more similar rectangles, marked 'furtum', 'fraus', 'fallacia', and 'mendacium', words with similar meanings, all connected with fraud, trickery, deceit, treachery, etc.
