Obits (dates of death) in a calendar can often provide information about who owned it. In the present manuscript, the original calendar entries suggest that it was made for the use of an Augustinian house in Lincolnshire. On 31 March is the added obit of Henry, abbot of Bourne ('Obitus henrici abatis de brunne'), which is indeed an Augustinian abbey in Lincolnshire, between Peterborough and Grantham. Henry probably became abbot around 1198, and died in 1212 or shortly before. The psalter quite possibly belonged to him.
