Jerome's Commentary on Jeremiah is one of the last books he wrote, but he died (in 420) before he could complete it. This copy has been attributed to Bath Abbey because it appears to be written by the same scribe as another manuscript, also in at the British Library, whose contents suggest an origin at the Abbey. The opening page, with a decorated initial 'P', shows two notable features of this manuscript: notes to the rubricator (top right), and words in Greek (middle left), are written in the margins and crossed through in red for emphasis.
