This manuscript was written by a northern French or Breton scribe, but was in England by the mid-10th century, when additions were made, and it was catalogued in the library at Worcester Cathedral in the early 17th century. This initial 'F' introduces the only surviving Latin version of an extract concerning the birth of Noah from the apocryphal Book of Enoch, which survives in an Ethiopian translation of a Greek version of the original Hebrew or Aramaic text.
