This manuscript, which contains a variety of texts by different authors, bears inscriptions stating that it was bought for Evesham Abbey by Richard Pembroke, who was abbot from 1460 to 1467. On what was probably originally the first page of the manuscript is a historiated initial 'F' depicting a kneeling monk before the Virgin and Child. The columns are numbered in the upper margin, and every fifth lines of text is numbered between the columns: this is characteristic of manuscripts used for study at the university of Oxford.
