This added 15th-century inscription gives unusually detailed information: it states that the manuscript was bought by William Bedeford, canon of Newnham (close to Bedford and Cambridge), from Robert Ware, executor of Master John Bryan, while he was a student at Cambridge, in 1415. At the end the price has been erased, but it is provided on the facing page (see f. 2r)
