Book I of the text ends near the top of the right-hand column; this is followed by a rubric, a list of the chapters in Book II, a rubric introducing Book II, and then Book II itself. This starts with a fine foliate initial in red, seven lines high. Note how the scribe has left the seventh line free of writing, in anticipation of the tail of the letter 'Q'. The 's'-like squiggles in the right margin are a medieval form of quote marks, in this case indicating that the adjacent lines are a quotation from Leviticus 3:1.
