A representation of Norman Pavers on the floor of St Peter and St Paul's church at Harrington, Northamptonshire
Artist: Fowler, William
Medium: Pen and ink on paper
These medieval floor tiles were found on the floor of the Church of St Peter and St Paul in the village of Harrington, Northamptonshire. Fowler, the artist, identified them as Norman-era artwork, but Nikolas Pevsner, in his 'Buildings of England: Northamptonshire' (2003), states that they are much more recent - probably from 14th to 16th centuries.
