An engraving of the twin peaks of the Pitons which rise from the sea off the west coast of St. Lucia at an angle of 55 degrees. In the 18th century they were known as ‘the sugar loaves.’ Petit Piton, the smaller of the two isles, is 2,461 feet high, and Gros Piton is 2,619 feet high.
