Brass plates in the middle aisle of Tottenham Church in the county of Middlesex

Medium: Ink on paper

Date: 1793

Shelfmark: Ktop XXX

Item number: 17-c

Genre: Topographical Drawing

These brass plates were found in the middle aisle of the ancient parish church at Tottenham. The notes accompanying these sketches are based on inscriptions found in the church. They reveal that one of the figures is Thomas [Humingham], son of George Humingham, and that the second man was from London and died on 2nd May in the second year of the reign of King Henry VIII. The third figure appears to be a clergyman.
