St Dunstan's Church is a prominent landmark in Cranbrook. The church and tower are of yellow sandstone and there are parts of the church dating to late 13th century, as well as fourteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth century and seventeenth century additions. The artist is Captain Francis Grose F.S.A. (1731-1791), who was particularly interested in antiquities and drawings and etchings of ancient buildings often enjoyed a wide circulation.
