South view of St Leonard's, the parish church of Denton in Sussex. The other building in view, with its chequerboard stone patterning, is the parsonage. As can be seen in the drawing, the foliage-covered thatched roof is in need of repair. The church was built of flint in the Early English style and has a small bell turret.
