View of Dublin Bay in Ireland, drawn from the Stillorgan Road. The coastline of Dublin county is notably indented with numerous creeks and inlets, Dublin Bay, situated on the east coast is the largest of these. The bay is also where the largest river in Island, the Liffey, meets the sea making it an important harbour since the early 18th century. Howth Head marks the northerly boundary of the Bay and Brey Head the south.
